Just returned from a wonderfully relaxing holiday in Spain.
The pace was much slower than that in my usual hometown of Miami and communications were unreliable The peace and quiet were good for my head and allowed me to think through the next stage in some work projects. Started research for new book, a follow up to Love Mother, Love Daughter and Love Refuses to Die. Now I am back at my desk and ready to impose the discipline needed to actually write the book. Writing is my passion - but it's also work so - time to get on with it Summers almost over. Happy writing.
Last night I attended a performance of In the Heights - an earlier musical from the pen of Lin-Manuel Miranda, the writer of Broadway smash hit Hamilton. The young actors and triple threats - singers, dancers, actors - of Area Stage Company in Coral Gable are up to speed to perform on any Broadway stage! Congratulations to the inspirational artistic director John Rodaz. The energy and talent on stage is AWESOME!!! Thank you, guys.
Many performances are already SOLD OUT so if you want to see In the Heights - book your tickets NOW. Or miss a wonderful theatrical experience.!
The Fathom 'People to People' cruise from Miami to Cuba was amazing. I am still reeling from the sights, sounds and culture. Everything I have heard in all my years in Miami could not have prepared me for this once in a lifetime experience. A land in transition with everyone just waiting to see what will happen. If you have the opportunity, I urge you - go.
